Message I didnt have any numerical values. I had a techtom I could have checked too, but it never occured to me that I would have wanted to know the temp prior to dress-up. I'm basically making that statement based on purely "feel" as it just seems a lot hotter when fooling around in the bay while the car idles, even if the coolant isnt any hotter, it seems more heat radiates from the motor to the 6 or so feet surrounding it. This could totally be my imagination.

Yeah, Kyle actually told me it wouldnt likley make any difference since I was routing through the wheel well. But another local owner, 1blackz had found an electronics supply place in town that sold shielded by the foot, it was literally the only place either of us could find in OKC.

I figure that assembly order had to be the way to get to the upper right nut (if looking down into turbine flange from behind the motor) on the turbine housing, once I fineagled (sp?) the turbos on, I was like "how the fuck am I supposed to get that nut torqued on tight?" I did the best I could slipping an open wrench throu there and turing a quarter or eighth of a turn at a time, but I am worried that my exhaust leak is coming from that one nut/stud on the turbo/mani flange. It sounds like shit, but isnt as raucous as other at-the-manifold leaks I have heard, so I am holding out hope for a leak at the downpipe connection

Stockers with MSP manis.......well due to the bad driveshaft CS bearing, and the exhaust leak. I havent touched my avc-r, and I really have only boosted the car moderately and not done any WOT yet, nor have I boost-leak-tested. I got the car running just in time to move across town, and the base has kept me running in circles for the last 2 months. So I really just cleaned it up for a Z club car show we had last weekend and so that I could get some nice shots for one of those Nadir posters and maybe get into Chris's next calendar, otherwise I havent been driving it until I get the DS fixed at a minimum. But I will say this for the driving I have done in it around town.....it is a chore to keep the car out of boost, any throttle application seems to send the needle into the positive side of the gauge.

I want to have the Z completely settled in all issues resolved before I swapover to the Leader gear diff. That way I can have a good point of reference to compare/contrast driving impressions and maybe even present some data after the switch so others sitting on the fence like I was for a long time abou tthe gears can wrap their heads around something more tangible than "awesome". A shame they'll be out fo production, but I imagine sets will float around the classifieds for a while to come.
